Marketing Working Group has been busy

The main focus of the MWG during the first half of 2008 was organizing the 4th Annual Sonoma Workshop in April.  The event attracted nearly 200 attendees and offered more than 40 sessions from end users, developers, hardware and software providers, and Operating System distributors.  Andy Bechtolsheim kicked off this year’s event with a special presentation on the opening night.

The 5th Annual Sonoma Conference has already been scheduled for March 22-26, 2009.  Stay tuned for more details.  We look forward to seeing everyone there!

The next big item on the calendar is SC08. OFA is setting aside a portion of its SC08 booth for presentations by OFA members.  Any member who would like to make a presentation should submit a proposal to Jeff Scott at jeff@splitrockpr.com.  The presentations will focus on implementations and capabilities of OFED and WinOF.  SC08 is being held November 15-21 in Austin, TX.

Another important project for the MWG in 2008 has been a refresh of the OFA website.  The most substantial changes were made to the Downloads pages and the Developer Resources pages.  The website continues to be a work in progress as we strive to meet the needs of everyone in the OFA community.  If anyone would like to propose additional changes or updates to the site, please submit those ideas to the appropriate Working Group chairs.  The chairs will work with Jeff Scott (jeff@splitrockpr.com) to implement your ideas.
