The OFA Really Wants You, and Here Is One Way to Get Involved

/ / From the Chairs

The OpenFabrics Alliance (OFA) is pleased to introduce a new central calendar.  The purpose of this calendar is to make it really easy for folks to know when the various conversations about OpenFabrics Software (OFS) are being held, and how to participate.  The OFS suite is large and sophisticated, and is used by an increasingly larger community.  Whether you are part of an OFA member organization or not, we welcome your participation and involvement.  This calendar will tell you when OFA meetings and events are being held and how to join in. The OFA will use this calendar to promote standing working group calls and important OFA Workshop dates and deadlines.

Calendar items that are open to the public contain location and/or dial-in details, while invitation-only meetings feature information on who to contact for an invitation to join. This calendar lets users filter listings based on their interest in either general events or our seven active working groups:

  • Enterprise Working Group (EWG)
  • Executive Working Group (XWG)
  • Interoperability Working Group (IWG)
  • Marketing Working Group (MWG)
  • OpenFabrics Interfaces Working Group (OFIWG)
  • OpenFabrics Verbs Working Group (OFVWG)

Each working group was formed with a specific focus in mind, including OFS interoperability testing, qualifying OFS code for Linux distribution, promoting the Alliance, identifying new strategic technology initiatives, and more. Each group communicates regularly through weekly/bi-weekly meetings and OFA-related events such as the OFA Workshop.

We encourage you to access the interactive central calendar here: https://www.openfabrics.org/index.php/ofa-calendar.html
